Public Real Estate Securities Analyst

Position

We are seeking an analytically strong individual with a solid finance background who is eager to pursue an opportunity to grow within an emerging public equity, real estate securities team. The right individual would have experience in corporate finance and real estate financial analysis along with an ability to evaluate real estate fundamentals. Solid critical thinking and communications skills are required to be successful. The position provides an opportunity to work in small, emerging team and will provide exposure to all aspects of real estate securities analysis as well as in building a global securities team and products in a dynamic and creative environment.? This individual will work directly with the Chief Investment Officer to create, implement and market both domestic and international portfolios. ?

Responsibilities

• Work with the Chief Investment Officer to make buy/sell decisions in creating various portfolios
• Meet with and assess senior management teams of public real estate securities companies ?
• Build financial models on companies within the coverage universe
• Monitor performance of the portfolios versus benchmarks and competitive peer set
• Coordinate compliance and develop procedures with regard to trading public securities
• Assist in the creation of quarterly reporting investment letters

Qualifications

• BA and preferably the CFA designation or working towards it
• 3 - 5 years experience in securities analysis or commercial real estate valuation
• Strong financial/quantitative and critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg ?
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Self starter who is willing to work independently on a small, start up team
• Well organized and able to balance multiple and diverse priorities while delivering quality product
• Willing to travel as needed to assist in property related and investment related analysis and decisions
