Mahindra and Mahindra, the automotive part of the billion dollar Mahindra Group has issued a voluntary recall of some XUV500 SUVs manufactured in 2011/12. This recall is issued to replace three parts in the car- left wiper blade cover, front power window unit, and fluid hose.
Mahindra says that the replacement of these three parts will be carried out?immediately?at their dealerships without any cost.
Mahindra also adds the XUV500 recall here, is a preventive one and will affect only a select batch of XUV500, which were manufatured during the period between 2011, and 2012. Mahindra will notify respective customers about the voluntary recall, and request them to take their car to the nearest Mahindra dealership for replacement of these parts.Mahindra XUV500 was launched in India back in Sep 2011 with an introductory price of INR 10.80 lakhs. Today, the car is one of the best selling one?s in the segment and is available in a price band of INR 11.7 lakhs to INR 14.30 lakhs.
