[iPad] Safari wouldn't scroll ... weird fix

I'm just curious about what happened.
For the past couple of days, Safari on my Ipad2 was acting up.

Pages would load but wouldn't scroll.
Tapping on links within pages wouldn't take me anywhere.

Anyway, today I tried googling "safari won't scroll ipad"
As soon as I started the search, Safari shut down on me.

When I opened it up, all was back to normal.

Any ideas as to what might have been going on?
